This is nothing but BS (bad scripture)! This is what I like to call toxic purity culture in the church that leads to men never taking action to even so much is talk to a woman and then women complain that they never get approached by men. Then what happens is you get people in their mid-30s and '40s that are unmarried and frustrated and they keep wondering why God hasn't sent them their spouse yet. You can't do God's half but he WON'T do yours. God's already sent you plenty of opportunities of people that could be a potential spouse but you need to take action open your mouth talk to them and tell them you want to be MORE than friends. I'm currently in a happy relationship with an amazing woman of God but you know what I did before I found that relationship... I was out there talking to girls working on my social skills learning how to flirt and carry myself in an attractive way while simultaneously growing closer to God. These two are not mutually exclusive. Ruth didn't go up to Boaz and say I want to be your friend. Isaac didn't meet Rebecca and say hey I want to be your friend. That's just not how attraction works. We need to stop being ashamed of admitting that we're into somebody.

Vulnerability is another instance in our walk with God that requires faith. We might never see the results of it with our own two eyes, but that's why we have to die to our self and embrace humility. If we lack faith and humility we will never step out and do the uncomfortable and vulnerable things God calls us to do.

God is intentional in everything. And he works everything for our good and for his glory. I say this bc of this message and also because one day I was listening to the podcast on a run and on a trail I stumbled upon a rock with the word Amen on it and I was just joyful in that moment because it was so simple but such a blessing to my day.
